Ways to Get Involved

The easiest way to get involved is to volunteer at one of our meets.  Click the Volunteer (SuperMeets) link under Parents Club above. Learn more about the different positions.

Become an Official Today!

CDOG needs more officials if we are going to continue to host large swim meets which are our main means of raising money to support our team. If you are already one of our dedicated officials, we want to thank you for your commitment to our team. To show our appreciation and recognize the extensive time commitment involved in being an official, the STPA offers incentives for our officials. These include:

OFFICIALS IN TRAINING

  • STPA will pay for shirts, books, course fee
  • STPA will pay USA registration fee for Official in Training
  • Hospitality access only when available

OFFICIALS AND REFEREES

  • STPA will pay for shirts, books, course fee
  • STPA will pay USA registration for Official / Referee
  • STPA will pay the USA Registration fee for one swimmer
  • STPA will waive the entry fees for home meets for one swimmer at the session the parent officiates
  • Hospitality access only when available

To qualify for these incentives, new officials will need to work a minimum requirement.  Also, on an ongoing basis, officials are expected to progress to the next level available and ultimately become a referee.  Work requirements include officiating at home and away meets.  If you are not required to work a home meet as an official and your child is swimming, you must volunteer in some other capacity to meet the volunteer requirements per the team volunteer policy.

If you would like to take advantage of this and play an important role in supporting our team, please contact us about becoming an official.  To get information on upcoming workshops and to get all your questions answered about being an official, please contact Sean at 272-3150 or e-mail Sean at sfarrell@southington-cheshireymca.org
